You know you have a good falafel sandwich when most of it is covered in salad bar and creamy garlic sauces, as much as I love me some crispy garbanzo-parsley goodness. Maoz on Telegraph Ave in Berkeley has a really good combo with a drink and sweet potato fries for something under $8, which is truly worth driving across town for. And the pita, the softness, the softness of our lives. Did I mention its unlimited salad bar? It makes it a great joint for students and gluttonous young working professionals.
