Faux Pasta: A Sister Cooking Blog

My friends had a a lady time tea party on Sunday and I used my beautiful new food processor to make my mother’s special pear almond tart and some homemade hummus. Usually I resent hummus like I resent curly kale (digestive disaster) and quinoa (boring blobs of mouth sand), but mine was mind-blowing thanks to the use of 3 kinds of oil, almonds, a few tablespoons of boiling water, and a pinch of Penzey’s Maharajah Curry Powder. Recipe coming soon!

Other delicious eats include doughnuts from Dough in Bed-Stuy, cucumber cream cheese sandwiches, and deviled eggs. We decimated everything as ladies are wont to do.
