Oh hey there. We’re sisters who love to cook. We grew up in California, Paris, and Chicago. When we moved to Chicago in the mid-90s, Nellie spent some exciting Friday evenings in high school baking all sorts of treats, and later, Paulina would work mixing up huge batches of fragrant red velvet cupcakes for a cupcake shop in Champaign, Illinois.
We were spoiled rotten by our vivacious California redhead mama — she cooked family meals every night of the week and always renewed her yearly subscription to Bon Appetit magazine. Watching her gave us early exposure to how delicious and satisfying homemade food could be.
Paulina (little sister) is a forensic accountant based out of NYC. Nellie (big sister) works in marketing for a much-beloved mac and cheese company in Berkeley.
